- Patrons with debt collection issues can call 202-851-3387 during the business day. This is a staffed hotline so the patron can speak to an expert in the debt collection law in real time.
- Patrons with eviction issues can call the landlord tenant legal assistance network at 202-780-2575 during the business day.
- Patrons with consumer complaints about transactions with merchants can contact the Office of the Attorney General for their free consumer protection mediation program. The patron can submit a complaint at https://oag.dc.gov/consumer-protection/submit-consumer-complaint.
